Content quality assurance is a necessary
component to providing error-free functional product
to the consumer. Content quality assurance testing
confirms adequate confidence that a product conforms
to established technical requirements and is of the
type and quality needed and expected by the customer.
What is Content?
Content is a generic term used to describe
information in a digital context that can be presented
to the consumer in many different audio and visual
ways. Content can be on the Internet, in a movie theater
and on an optical disc (DVD or CD). It can be seen
and heard, for example, on a personal mobile device,
gaming platform or laptop. Content is digital information
that could be meant for entertainment, electronic record
keeping, instructional training and so much more. It
is distributed or made available for use to the consumer
in many different formats via a wide variety of platforms
and devices.
What is Quality Assurance Testing?
Quality Assurance Testing puts a product
through specific procedures to discern that the product
is in accordance with its specified standards and will
perform as intended.

What is the Cost of Poor Quality?
An amount no company committed to high
quality can afford to pay. Today’s consumers
expect quality and perfection in the products and services
they buy. Unsatisfactory products and services make
unhappy customers and result in diminished brand confidence
and profit.
Phil Crosby, a quality assurance thinker
and widely recognized authority is the father of terminology
used in the quest for quality. Crosby was able to translate
the technical aspects of quality assurance and its
processes into concepts business could understand.
Crosby’s philosophy and techniques help companies
grasp the idea of the "cost of poor quality” or
what it really costs to do things badly.
How is quality achieved and maintained?
Mr. Crosby defined quality as conformity
to certain specifications set forth by management and
not some vague concept of "goodness." These
specifications are not arbitrary either; they must
be set according to customer needs and wants.
Quality is maintained by continuous compliance
to standards that are checked through specific and
rigorous testing methodologies known as Quality Assurance
Testing.

dealings. The standards have earned ISO 9000 a worldwide
reputation. ISO 9000 is concerned with “quality
